Helloooo! TAP-DC has been in a period of transition this summer and welcomed in a group of new board members. Some old faces are back and a few new ones from the community have joined us for a fun upcoming year. We are starting off our year by having our summer board retreat later this month where we (as an entire board) begin to plan out the new year with fun events and activities for the community. Before then, come on out to our summer TAPpy hour and meet our new board members in person (details below)!

Wow time is flying by so quickly this year, can you believe it's already May? Neither can we!
In April, we held our first hike of the year at Billy Goat Trail in Great Falls, MD. It was great to see so many new faces at this event and hope we can continue to get to know those of you in the community. We then held our first rock climbing event at Earth Treks - Crystal City where so many of you expressed interest for another similar event. We heard you, there will be another rock climbing event later this month! Finally we held another event for our food lab series where we showed you how to make beef noodle soup and gua bao. Weren't they sooooo delicious?
And don't forget, we are still recruiting for next year's board members. Come on out to our next few events to meet the current board and apply for next year's board if you'd like to get more involved in this community. Don't be shy, we don't bite :)

What does everyone think about the weather? Finally warming up, right? We definitely do miss the warm weather, so much so that some of our upcoming events will be held outdoors. Spring is finally here!

Volunteering Opportunity for Lunar New Year Planning
We are looking for volunteers to help plan the 2019 Lunar New Year event. This will take up quite some of your time in next 4 months, especially in January and beginning of February. Please reach out to U-hsen Li at uhsen.li@tap-dc.org if interested.
