Did you think that summer camp was just for kids? TANG is for all ages. Their Young Adults program is a uniquely immersive experience to connect with other Taiwanese Americans navigating adulthood and identity like you, from across the East Coast and beyond.

July 1 – 5 at West Chester University, PA, with options for staying on campus (resident) or off-campus (commuters, 1-5 days).

The Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML) and Washington DC Taiwanese School (WDCTS) are hosting their end-of-term recital and Taiwanese night market next weekend.
They’ve invited the TAP-DC community to join them for a fun afternoon of night market snacks, games, and performances from students and other members of our Taiwanese American community.
For anyone interested in learning Mandarin and/or Taiwanese, this is a great opportunity to stop by and find out more about their adult language programs (in-person and online). They offer a variety of other cultural classes as well.

Calling all young people and those young at heart!
Taiwanese American Next Generation (TANG) is hosting their annual summer conference at West Chester University, PA from July 1 - 5, 2026. This is a multi-generational experience with programs for participants of any age.
The TANG Young Adults program is a summer camp for college students and young professionals (college-aged to ~30s) where we come together to build community, learn more about our Taiwanese heritage, and have a space to talk about the things we don’t usually get to in our daily lives. Come through for some good vibes, deep discussions, and insightful workshops! The program is conducted in English, welcoming 1.5 generation participants and non-Taiwanese participants alike.
This year’s theme? GROWTH.
Register by April 24 to get the early bird discount. The official registration deadline is May 29.

Taiwan Needs You: How to Help
What happened: Earlier last month, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck 25 kilometers off Taiwan’s east coast near the city of Hualien. The earthquake was the most powerful to hit the island in 25 years, resulting in at least 17 deaths, 1,145 injuries, and left many buildings and roads severely damaged.
How you can help: Tzu Chi USA is accepting donations to support relief and recovery efforts for those impacted by the earthquake. All donations will be doubled, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000.

TANG Mentorship

Hung Ci Lion Dance Troupe, established in 2023, seeks to promote traditional Chinese Lion dancing. Our relatively new team is led by Sifu Teach Roberts, who has over 24 years of lion dance experience.
Sifu Teach Roberts learned lion dancing while studying Kung Fu under Sifu Tai Yim. His experience with Kung Fu and its correlation with lion dancing gives him a clear understanding of their traditions, allowing him to effectively teach his students and impart the culture.
